Q:  What is Walnut Blasting?​​​​​

 A:  Walnut Blasting is the process of removing carbon deposits from your engine's air intake ports. Walnut shell media is sprayed into the intake ports under high pressure. This media is strong enough to be abrasive towards carbon deposits, yet soft enough to prevent damage to aluminum and steel. Walnut blasting applies specifically to Direct Injection engines. 

 Q:  What does "Direct Injection" mean?

 A:  Direct Injection means the engine is configured with fuel injectors that are fitted directly into the cylinder head and spray fuel into the combustion chamber rather than multi-port injection which atomizes fuel behind the intake valves.

 Q:  Why should I Walnut Blast my engine?

 A:  Walnut blasting removes carbon deposits which attach to your intake ports. If left untreated, these deposits can build up over time and cause poor engine performance, misfires, and in some cases, no-start conditions.
